Had a blast at this place! The bar was jumping with sports on big screens. There was plenty of seating, and the atmosphere was lively. Karaoke nights? Count me in! Conveniently located near transport and local hotspots too.
Felt spoilt, no reason to complain.

great location but limited breakfast variety
The young gentleman at the front desk offered exceptional service and made checking in seamless, also the historical architecture of the building added a charming touch to our stay. It was wonderful to have secure bike storage and the karaoke entertainment in the bar provided a fun atmosphere to unwind.

I stayed for two nights and felt welcomed upon arrival. My room had a nice en-suite shower and was clean with all essentials provided. The location was close to town, making it easy to explore. The breakfast offered a variety of choices. One morning, I enjoyed a hearty meal which made my day. Being a history professor from Manchester, this place met my needs while learning about the local culture.
I experienced some noise during early hours that disrupted my sleep. The mattress was softer than I prefer and the pillows could have been better.

Great spot in Whitby!
We stayed for 2 nights in a twin room and loved the location. just a 5-min walk to the heart of Whitby. The room was cozy, and the shower was super powerful! The bar prices were decent too. Only bummer was the staff — they seemed a bit overwhelmed and not too friendly at times.

Rooms got plenty of character, especially on the higher floors—nicely furnished with good storage. Breakfast offers a nice spread of self-serve options. The extra cooked option for a fair price. the ambience works well for social vibes.
Noise can be an issue, particularly from downstairs music, especially if you've got a lower floor room, so light sleepers may want to consider that. Some bathrooms lack proper cleanliness and shelving for toiletries, which might be a hassle if you need to organize your stuff. The steep stairs can be a workout, especially if you're hauling luggage, so be prepared for that if mobility's a concern.

A perfect location with clean, comfortable accommodations made this stay enjoyable, especially with the home-baked Alentejo bread served at breakfast. the thin duvets and a noticeable smell in the bathroom detracted from the experience. the lack of heating and overall cleanliness were disappointing, leading to an uncomfortable atmosphere during the stay.
